Project Manager, Office of the CTO

We have an exciting role as part of a growing startup. Reporting to, and working closely with, the CTO, you’ll play a key role in increasing the effectiveness of Brightflow as you lead and manage critical engineering projects and support our long-term strategy.

Having closed our seed round, we’re expanding and need to have more capabilities to tackle a wide range of opportunities and we need you to manage critical projects with competing stakeholders – helping clarify and ensure success and understanding the long-term goals for Brightflow AI.

Additionally, in a chief of staff type role, you’ll have the opportunity to provide broad support for a variety of the CTO’s activities, facilitating effective decision making and helping execute the company’s highest priorities. As such, this role is a good track for seeing more of the operations of a startup and levelling up your experience across a range of areas. You’ll be able to employ a wide set of skills since this is a broad role and early startups are places where generalists excel.

The role requires:

• Exceptional organizational skills You easily track a wide range of activities on the go, knowing the next actions of all key projects, and readily communicating the details as needed.
• Outstanding communication ability You are able to communicate succinctly, honing in on priorities as you trade-off detail for clarity and simplicity. Your communication in meetings helps all participants be better understood. You can zoom out to the high-level thinking & summary of activities.
• Strong project management You are well practiced in the combination of organization, process execution, follow-up, and directness.
• High degree of comfort with ambiguity & nascent ideas You know when to bring order, when to drive to action, and when to simply navigate uncertainty while leaving a project untouched. We’re a startup and this role will be on the leading edge of tackling many of our new efforts.
• Flexibility You enjoy adjusting to new priorities, and adapting to the changing landscape of an early-stage startup.
• Strong data & learning skills You quickly grasp complex topics, sometimes collecting and parsing data systematically on potential and existing projects and opportunities and doing research as needed.
• Action-orientation initiative You exemplify that good-enough completion beats perfection someday and relish ownership of responsibilities.
