JOB SUMMARY:

The position is responsible for delivering according to Project Management Institute (PMI) best practices. Socialize deliverables, schedules, and deadlines. Track progress against percentage complete. Coordinate project status meetings and written project documentation. Provide progress reports and dashboard information. In addition, as an open and approachable scrum master, drive and embrace Agile / Lean frameworks that result in quality product delivery and continuous improvement. Responsible for removing impediments that hinder the team from reaching goals. Deliver in a flexible way to enable the team to rapidly respond to changes. Collaborate with all department heads, stakeholders, and project sponsors.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 4-year Business or Technology degree preferred

  • 8 year working in a technical environment in similar roles as a Scrum Master / Project Manager

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

  • Expertise with Agile and Scrum frameworks and their application in Product Development and delivery organization

  • Understanding of Scaling framework such as LeSS and various other Agile frameworks such as Kanban, XP

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required

  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology strategies5 years project management experience

  • 2 years portfolio management experience

  • Extremely proficient in MS Project or other project management detailed tracking tools

  • Experience working at a technology company

  • Experience working in a remote environment

  • Experience in B2B / B2C / B2B2C

  • Experience writing technical documents

  • Proficient in diagraming workflow software

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES: These are job duties specific to your role

SCRUM MASTER:

  • Work with the Product owners

  • Align teams with the product vision

  • Run and communicate regarding sprint goals

  • Collaborate within the teams that allows for open dialogue

  • Provide productive solutions for resolving conflicts

  • Champion continuous improvement activities to reduce waste and increase productivity.

  • Coach organization to conduct continuous improvement events

  • Communicate organizational impediments to leadership

  • Communicate and manage clear impediments for the team

  • Coach product owners in MANAGING the product backlog, including empirical planning.

  • Appreciate the depths of Lean and Agile practices and principles,

  • Champion systems thinking and servant leadership corporate wide

PROJECT MANAGEMENT:

  • Oversee and improve internal Project Management communication

  • Participate in Company Build Planning

  • Participate in planning for Sales initiatives to clients as needed

  • Improve and implement security procedures

  • Develop clear benchmarks for measuring production and performance

  • Contribute to the library of PM documentation (Risk, Change, methodologies etc)

  • Introduce PMI standards into regular PM workflow

  • Participate in the RFP process to deliver schedules

  • Integrate and improve ITS functionality into PM activities

  • Lead internal Projects as assigned

  • Increase visibility of PMBOK standards within projects (scope, cost, schedule etc)

  • Develop quantitative project management assessments

  • Identify Risks and mitigate effectively

  • Develop and communicate lessons learned feedback

  • Set up and promote a PM War Room

  • Recommend new technologies, products and services.

  • Deliver consistently high customer service

  • Develop strong relationships with key client personnel as needed

  • Maintain all relevant project documentation
