We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack PHP Developer to join the Scalable Path team to work on a client project. This is a remote, full-time position that is expected to be a long-term project.
CLIENT COMPANY DESCRIPTION: The client is in the adult industry (soft-core) and provides listing pages for escorts. The company has been in business for over 6 years and currently is made up of 12 people. They use Gitlab for source control and collaboration, Wire for conference calls and Signal for secure messaging. They are flexible with vacations and try to provide a good work/life balance for the people working on the team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be adding new features and launching new sites and products. The core existing web application is built using PHP, MySQL, jQuery and Bootstrap. The client is open to migrating to a PHP framework (such as Symfony or Laravel) in the near future.
The client is looking for an experienced and thoughtful developer that can take development tasks to the next level not by simply following a specification but by getting deep into the business needs and proactively pursuing the right solutions without needing to be told every detail.
The right candidate must have an excellent sense for UI/UX to build features that will give user's a great experience and be consistent with the existing overall app design.
You must be able to work at least 4 hours per day between the hours of 9am-5pm EST (the other 4 hours a day can be outside this window if necessary).
RELATIONSHIPS - WHO YOU'LL BE WORKING WITH: You will be working with the lead developer on the project and other contract developers. The client is in the America/New York (-04:00) EDT time zone.
DESIRED (NICE-TO-HAVE) SKILLS: -Experience with photoshop -Knowledge of Node.js -Copywriting skills
START DATE: As soon as possible.
The pay rate for this role is from $30 to $55 USD per hour, depending on experience and capability.
EXPECTED CONTRACT DURATION: Long-term (ongoing). Could last years.
NOTES: The client is open to people who can start part-time but can go full-time in the future.
