Front End Designer

Looking for a great front end designer who can work with us at Lessonface.com to improve our site appearance and flow, update some bits, and help to add new features, on an on-going basis. Would be doing some javascript and CSS, animation, creating interactive widgets with dynamic content, and of course designing for responsiveness, as well as lots of more straight-forward graphic design.

Will be working with our fantastic developer who is himself good at aesthetic aspects (though he protests to the contrary -- and no, this is not being written by him in third person.)

We are based in NYC but are happy to find a talented designer who can work well remotely anywhere.

Lessonface is a marketplace where students can find great teachers for live lessons online. We are currently focused on music lessons but are about to expand to some new verticals. That expansion is the root cause of most of our upcoming design needs.

To apply, please send examples of sites you have designed, and if only portions, please note which of those portions are yours, to cc@lessonface.com. As an online marketplace for lessons, designs of marketplaces and / or education-related sites would be especially compelling. We will likely start with a small (paid) project and go from there, and are aiming to move pretty quickly on this.

Thanks for your consideration. Looking forward to hearing from you.
