About ETC:Education Travel & Culture (ETC) is a non-profit [501(c)(3)] educational exchange organization.ETC provides inbound program opportunities for high school students throughout the world to study in an American high school and live with an American family. Volunteer Host Families provide room and board, a quiet place to study, and an American family experience for international students during their semester or academic year in the United States.
**ETC Students:**Our students are between 15-18 and come to America on a J-1 Visa. They are fluent in English and maintain a C or higher in all of their high school courses, provide their own health insurance and spending money, and are eager to share their culture.

As LC’s develop strong relationships with their students and host families, they find that they, too, learn an extraordinary amount about themselves and the world around them. Local Coordinators are a valued member of the ETC team and an important part of the students and host families’ lives.
