A client of Scalable Path's is looking for a Lead Designer. This is a remote, full-time position.
CLIENT COMPANY DESCRIPTION: The client is a Japanese company that provides AI chatbot creation as a service. They already have existing enterprise clients, but are looking to bring the product to a wider audience of users.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be helping the client to improve the UI/UX of their core product which gives users the ability to create AI chatbots using a graphical user interface. Not only does their core product UI need to be improved, but they also need to build new functionality that allows new users to register and provide payment before using the core product (existing client accounts have been set up manually). The product is currently only in Japanese, but needs to have an English version designed and built.
You will need to collaborate with many different stakeholders in order to succeed in this role: - Getting information from the CTO (who you will report to) - Getting input from clients on what problems they have with the app - Working with salespeople to understand the features they want - Working with two other internal junior designers - Collaborating with frontend developers to make sure new designs get implemented correctly
RELATIONSHIPS - WHO YOU'LL BE WORKING WITH: You will be reporting to the CTO. It would be great if you were able to communicate with clients, salespeople and other internal team members to gather input. The client is in the Asia/Tokyo (+09:00) JST time zone.
REQUIRED SKILLS: - Ability to proactively gather information, perform analysis and suggest new ways to improve the UX of a website and solve user problems - Experience with wireframing (and at least one major wireframing software) - Deep experience with at least one major design software (Sketch, Photoshop, etc.) - Ability to independently manage an engagement with a client and it's many stakeholders (structuring the design process, scheduling meetings, obtaining stakeholder input, meeting deliverables, etc.) - Excellent written and spoken English communication skills

DESIRED (NICE-TO-HAVE) SKILLS: - Good written and spoken Japanese - Experience with tools for handing off designs to developers such as Zeplin

PAY RATE The pay rate for this role is from $40 to $80 USD per hour, depending on experience and capability.
