Kris Carr’s team is looking for a full-time Social Media Manager and Copywriter to grow and develop our established social media presence, manage content across our social channels and support our wellness mission.

You are highly creative and have excellent writing skills. You understand how to create a fun, engaging and on-brand social experience.

You excel at developing strategy, and are highly skilled at analyzing data and problem solving. You love new challenges, feel comfortable leading brainstorms and taking risks. You adapt quickly when things don't work, take ownership with confidence and manage your time effectively. You are organized and responsive. Data feeds you, and you know how to present reports that inform your team’s next steps.

You know how to collaborate to bring a brand’s goals to life in the social space, increasing raving fans through word of mouth marketing. You have experience culling micro-content from longer written and video pieces, speak hashtag, and know how to create dynamic interactions via social media. You have a great eye for design and are comfortable directing creative.

You have knowledge of the wellness industry and professional multi-channel social media experience. You’re naturally tapped into social media news, trends and strategic leaders in this landscape, and you know how to drive revenue using social networks.

You’re organized and detail-oriented, and are successful while working remotely. You are a team player with a positive, can-do attitude: an ace communicator who understands the dynamic needs of a modern media company. You easily connect the dots between social media and marketing, understanding the delicate balance between serving an audience and growing a brand.

You have experience managing individuals and operating a department. You are skilled in marketing digital products in the personal development and wellness space and have worked on affiliate campaigns with success. You have managed an ad agency and excel at working with them as an extension of your team.

Working in a tight-knit, fast-paced, creative team is music to your ears and you love to bring your best ideas to the table and collaborate with the team for the greater good of the brand. You understand the inner-workings of a personal brand.

You speak up when you see how content can be optimized. You can’t wait to contribute out-of-the-box ideas that are based on observations you’ve made in the social space.

Lastly, you’ve got a hungry, curious and nimble mind. You’re excited to learn new things, expand your skill set and work with a dynamic, fun and loving team of A-players.

What It Takes

  • Read above!
  • 2-3 years of professional social media management and content development experience
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of key social media platforms and tools including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter
  • Exceptional writing skills and proofreading ability
  • Proven data analysis and reporting experience with a focus on ROI
  • Experience leading social strategy as a business and revenue driver
  • Instinctive design eye for creative oversight and sourcing
  • Creative collaborative team and management experience
  • Agency management experience
  • Marketing and advertising chops
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Skill with various technical programs and functions
  • Ability to work remotely, independently and flexibly
  • Must be within one hour of U.S. EST and able to work on an East Coast time schedule

How we roll:

  • This is a full-time contract position with a competitive salary, with potential for a longer term / staff role
  • This is a virtual position working with our remote team, frequently on video. You must have a private, quiet workspace and a stable internet connection.
