We're a small, Colorado-based tech company building software for the agriculture industry. We've been a significant player in this space for more than 15 years by aggressively meeting the demands and needs of modern farms. We always look for ways to innovate so our clients have the best software and can generate reports with the most value. This information helps them stay ahead of the industry and maximize efficiency.

Our tech team is looking for an entry level (1 - 2 years experience) DevOps / Developer. You'll be working on a fast-paced team, coached by senior developers and working on a modern technology stack. This position is perfect for someone who has a background in Sys Admin and is hoping to expand into a developer role, or a junior developer looking to get a broad-spectrum skill set in the software development lifecycle. Salary for this position is $55,000 - $70,000 DOE.

What You'll Be Doing:

    • Working with a small, remote tech team
    • Running automated scripts, including database conversions for new customers coming onto our platform, via the command line, php scripts or C# program
    • Deploying our products to servers for testing and production
    • Updating our product specs and deployment documentation and practices as needed
    • Assisting with application development as needed

Requirements:

    • 1 year experience in the tech industry, in any relevant role
    • Good communicator, team player, motivated and eager to learn
    • Knowledge of basic Linux commands / command line
    • Knowledge of server architecture and general deployment practices for web and native applications
    • Knowledge of SQL and SQL architecture
    • Ability to read and understand JavaScript (Node / ES6 -- our new tech stack)
    • Basic understanding of Git and Git Flow
    • Experience writing and reading technical documentation
    • Native or near-native proficiency in English

Nice-to-haves:

    • Proficiency with Docker or other deployment methodologies
    • Lives in or near the Denver metro area
    • Familiarity with C++ and/or PHP (our legacy tech)
    • Bilingual (preference for Spanish or Chinese)
