Love coffee? Love the idea of solving everyday problems for the coffee roasters who roast, package and deliver your coffee?
We do too. We are coffee veterans with a strong vision for how to serve the rapidly-growing coffee community with software.
You’ll join our team of four, and contribute immediately. You’ll have a clear roadmap with strong dev and QC processes already in place, enabling you to build and deploy features your first week.
You’ll join a team that thrives on moving fast and simply gets shit done.
Our Stack and Dev Process
Our stack is Rails 4, Ruby 2.X, Heroku, Postgres, S3, Sidekiq + Redis, plus a dash of React. It’s an intentionally vanilla stack, since we’re solving complex, real problems and technology is just a means to an end.
We use continuous integration via CircleCI, check code quality via CodeClimate and rely heavily on Heroku’s pipeline feature to QA features before deploying to staging and finally production.
We aim to be a high velocity team that’s laser focused on serving the roasting community, and we’ll continue to iterate on our processes to make that happen. If you have ideas that’ll help us achieve that vision, bring ‘em!
RoasterTools launched in 2016 to automate the sales and production processes for wholesale coffees roasters – enabling them to sell, roast and deliver coffee more efficiently than ever.
We manage wholesale orders via our own wholesale portal, connect into ecommerce platforms like Shopify, plan daily production schedules, and facilitate shipping and delivery. Roasters run on RoasterTools.
At its launch weekend, RoasterTools was awarded a best new product award at the SCAA Expo – the industry’s showcase international event – by a panel of peer judges.
RoasterTools is led by a coffee roaster – Jon Ewalt – who’s roasted, cupped and sampled thousands of batches over the past decade. He also developed and tested the initial concepts behind RoasterTools at his roastery, which he sold in 2015 to focus on building RoasterTools.
We know what it means to be a fast-growing specialty coffee roaster, and use those insights every day.
As veterans of the specialty coffee industry, our core values are rooted in hospitality, quality, and speed of service. We share our customers’ love for a perfectly brewed cup of coffee and a busy work day.
The coffee industry is focused on constant improvement, sustainability, and inclusion. Our customers know about getting their hands dirty and solving tough problems, whether it’s atop a mountain in Peru or fixing a vintage roaster.
